The Spires of Callisto (Truth is Always Unexpected)
Words & Music by Christopher Kent
On Jupiter’s moon Callisto rocky spires reach up to the sky
They stand alone on a barren world, yet they change as time goes by
 And we don’t know why
It’s one of a thousand mysteries casting doubt on all we once knew
And the more we learn, the more we overturn what we thought was true
Chorus:
There is power in seeing past the wall of facts we have collected
Like the spires of Callisto, truth is always unexpected
On the Earth are wonders in the air, like seeds the wind has blown to us
Mighty undersea volcanoes that teem with life unknown to us
There are riddles in the mountains, unseen changes in the Earth
There are paradoxes hidden in every single death and birth
[Chorus]
We search for answers endlessly
For life and worlds we cannot see
Every time a door is opened new mysteries unfold
We never know what worlds unreal
Our search for answers will reveal
And each new world uncovered is a wonder to behold
Deep connections lie between us, an unspoken conversation
What we see as competition covers deep cooperation
Mighty changes sweep across the globe, despite our plans and visions
We exist inside a web of life that makes its own decisions
Final Chorus:
There is power in seeing past the wall of facts we have collected
Though the world is filled with endless life, every single part’s connected
Great truths can rise from heresies the whole world once rejected
Like the spires of Callisto, truth is always unexpected
