Radio Announcer: We interrupt our regularly scheduled program for a special news bulletin…. The First National Bank has been commandeered by a group of masked men carrying strange and powerful weapons! The authorities appear to be helpless…. Just a moment—here’s another bulletin that’s just coming in. Molecule Man has responded to the alarm, and with his amazing speed and strength he has disarmed the villains and turned them over to the police! Ladies and gentlemen, once again the streets of our city are safe, thanks to Molecule Man!!
I always wanted to save the world
Make it safe for democracy
All that stuff that we learned in school
(Part truth, part hypocrisy)
I always wanted to find those villains
And see justice win in the end
And everybody would know that they could always depend on
Molecule Man
Flying to save her
Molecule Man
Nobody braver than Molecule Man
I’m gonna save the world!
Radio Announcer: We interrupt our regularly scheduled program for a special news bulletin…. Astronomers have sighted a giant meteor headed for the Earth! Scientists fear that a collision could mean the end of civilization as we have known it! Just a moment…. Here’s another bulletin that’s just coming in. Molecule Man has intercepted the meteor! Ladies and gentlemen, the Earth is saved!!
I always wanted to be a hero
Somehow I knew it was meant to be
Saving planets from certain death
And then changing to my secret identity
No matter what the danger
I’d always be around
And everybody would know that they were safe and sound
‘Cause they’d see
Molecule Man, etc.
‘Cause when you’re just an ordinary kid
There’s so much that you can’t do
Well I never let it get me down
‘Cause in my heart I knew
That I was
Molecule Man, etc.
